Bookshelf

About

Bookshelf is an interactive shelf of the same books as the library on emrecanokten.com. Built with React, Next.js, and Three.js, each cover sits on a shelf you can pull forward and turn. Selecting a book opens its category, highlight count, Goodreads page, and notes. When WebGL is unavailable or reduced motion is on, the same books render as a list.

Milestones

• Laid the library books out as a 3D shelf with React Three Fiber
• Pull a book forward and drag to turn it; Escape returns it to the shelf
• Open notes, highlights, and the Goodreads page for the selected book
• Fall back to a plain list when WebGL is unavailable or reduced motion is preferred
